Police Investigating Attempted Rite Aid Robbery in Hyannis

IMG_1732HYANNIS – Barnstable Police are investigating an attempted unarmed robbery of the Rite Aid pharmacy on West Main Street in Hyannis Tuesday night.

Sgt. Mike Riley said a man approached the pharmacy counter and demanded various narcotics.

Employees refused to give the man any medications and he fled the store.

Riley said the suspect did not show or threaten the use of a weapon.

The suspect is described as white, in his early 20s, 5 feet 8 inches tall and approximately 120 pounds.

He also was said to have short, blonde or reddish facial hair.
