HYANNIS – A comedy troupe from Washington D.C. is coming to the Cape this spring in the middle of the presidential primary season.
The Capitol Steps show combines musical and political comedy of a tasteful nature.
Their bi-partisan show is constantly changing and includes songs about every issue in the news like “How Do You Solve a Problem Like Crimea” and “Ain’t No Pipeline, Now It’s Gone.”
The troupe began in 1981 as a group of Senate staffers and most cast members have worked on Capitol Hill – some for democrats, some for republicans and others politicians who straddle the fence.
The group has performed on the “The Today Show,” “Nightline,” “CBS Evening News” and many specials for National Public Radio.
The Capitol Steps will perform at the Barnstable Performing Arts Center in Hyannis on Saturday, April 2 at 7:30 p.m.
Tickets for the show are $39 and $59 and are on sale now at www.capecodshows.com or by calling 617-531-1257.
