Power of the Purse Fundraiser to Support Cape’s Young Children

HYANNIS PORT – Women United, an affinity group of the Cape and Islands United Way, will use the purse as a metaphor for strength to raise money for the region’s young children.

The inaugural Power of the Purse fundraiser will be held September 26 at the Hyannisport Club.

Power of the Purses allows women to help other women or families by bidding on purses, bags and accessories, along with trips and celebrity items.

Funds raised will support Strong from the Start programs which are designed to ensure that children 3 or younger are given the social, emotional, and language skills they need to thrive.

Tickets for the event are $100 and can be purchased at capeandislandsuw.org/pop.
