HYANNIS – A presentation and discussion Friday in Hyannis will encourage women from across the region to pursue positions of leadership.

The Cape Women’s Coalition will bring in local female leaders, including Boston City Council President Michelle Wu, State Representative Sarah Peake and others, to facilitate the dialogue.

Tina Games helps organize the event, and said her organization hopes to inspire women.

“We’ve all come together with a growing desire to see more women involved in community dialogues and discussions,” she said. “Women’s’ issues are always out there.”

The event will be held at the Doubletree Hotel at 287 Iyannough Road.

A video message from U.S. Senator Elizabeth Warren will also be played during the proceedings.

The discussion will begin at 8 a.m. and continue through 10 a.m.

Reservations are required, and can be made at www.capewomenscoalition.com.
