PROVINCETOWN – The Cape Cod National Seashore has just finished installing new exhibits at the Province Lands Visitor Center in Provincetown – just in time for the start of the busy summer season.
Replacing previous exhibits installed in the 1990s, the new exhibits showcase the area’s history, culture and natural beauty and gives visitors an overview of the area.
“We want it to be an introduction to visitors of what’s available in the Province Lands and inspire them to get outdoors,” said National Seashore North District Interpreter Jody Anastasio.
The exhibits include video features, large graphics, and three-dimensional models and there are plenty of activities for kids.
“We have a lot of hands-on interaction elements for kids, such as tracks embedded in a surface that kids can touch and guess what the tracks are,” Anastasio said.
The Province Lands Visitor Center is located at 171 Race Point Road in Provincetown, and is open daily through mid-October.
