PROVINCETOWN – A new affordable housing development in Provincetown has gotten the final funding it needs to go ahead.

The 23-unit development, called Stable Path, will be built on land off Race Point Road. It will be open to residents with low, moderate, and median incomes.

Ted Malone of Community Housing Resource, the project developer, said affordable housing has long been an issue in Provincetown.

Stable Path will receive about $5 million in state and federal funding.

Construction is expected to begin this winter.
