Provincetown Community Television to Document a Day in the Town

PROVINCETOWN – Twenty four hours of life in Provincetown will be documented again this year.

They will start on February 24th at 6:00 AM.  The multimedia portrait is a collaboration between Provincetown Community Television and liptv.us.

Amy Davies, PTV’s Executive Director, says everyone is welcome.

“In those 24 hours, we’re asking people who live in Provincetown or are visiting, to take videos and pictures and post them on social media with the hashtag #Ptown24,” she said.

The images captured can be a sunset, landscape, an ordinary moment, or the most exciting time of the day.

The hosts are also looking forward to selfies.

Davies points out that the presentation will remain fun and informative down the road.

“It will also serve as a time capsule of a contemporary history of Provincetown,” Davies said.

Since It takes place on a Saturday, the media organizations are hoping that many people will visit the town and document their off season experiences.

The images must be recorded in P-Town and captured during the 24 hour period.  Participants must include where and when they were captured.

Photos and videos can be uploaded to social media using #Ptown24.  The Facebook group can be accessed at www.facebook.com/groups/ptown24.
