Provincetown Full of Events During ‘Second Summer’

KA_Provincetown_Ptown_pilgrim monument_11315PROVINCETOWN – Labor Day weekend has arrived and children are heading back to school marking the end of the summer tourist season on Cape Cod, but that doesn’t mean there isn’t a lot to do in Provincetown – America’s First Destination.

The “Second Summer” brings a mix of fairs, festivals, galas and parties to P-Town throughout September and October.

The four-day Great Provincetown Schooner Regatta begins on Monday.

Art will be at the forefront from September 12 to 18 with The Afterglow Festival.

Some other September events include the annual Consignment Auction and the 14th Harbor to the Bay Bike Ride, both on September 17.

Bring your animals out to Pet Appreciation Weekend, which raises money for the Carrie A. Seaman Animal Shelter, from September 23 to the 25. The same weekend also features the Tennessee Williams Theater Festival.
