PROVINCETOWN – Provincetown has unveiled their event schedule for this year’s First Night celebrations that run until January 2.
“It’s our second year that we’re doing it,” said Provincetown Tourism Director Anthony Fuccillo. “The community came together last year and created the festival and it was a big success, so we’re doing it again this year.”
The seventh night of Hanukkah will be celebrated on December 30 at the Canteen Holiday Market with games, food and prizes from 3-6 p.m. and candle lighting, singing, storytelling and music from 4-5:30 p.m.
On New Year’s Eve, there will be a New Year’s Drag Bingo at the Crown and Anchor from 2-4 p.m. and a Wicked Winter Wonderland fright maze at The Art House on Commercial St.
A polar plunge will take place on New Year’s Day at 1 p.m. at the Johnson Street Lot and the First Light Fireworks Display will commence at dusk off MacMillian Pier.
“It’s a wonderful place to come, because of all the great nightlife and activities that are here in Provincetown,” said Fuccillo. “But with all the additional daytime activities for families as well as adults, I think it’s a big hit and people are looking forward to it again this year.”
