PROVINCETOWN – Provincetown voters head to the polls today to decide a contested race for a seat on the Select Board and a series of proposition 2 1/2 overrides and debt exclusions.

Mark Hatch and Lise King are running for the seat currently held by Erik Yingling, who is not seeking re-election.

Residents will consider a number of questions that would provide funding for universal pre-k, preschool, and care for infants and toddlers in town. Proponents say it would make P’Town more affordable for families and bolster year-round residency.

Voters will also decide on funding for two new fire trucks and a new boiler at the fire station.

Polls are open from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. at Provincetown Town Hall.
