Public Comment Extended on Vineyard Wind Project

HYANNIS – The public has been given an additional 30 days to offer comment on the proposed Vineyard Wind Project thanks to an extension from the Commonwealth’s Executive Office of Energy and Environmental Affairs.

The company has proposed Lewis Bay as one of two locations for their wind farm to make landfall.

“I am very pleased that Secretary Beaton has asked for additional information from Vineyard Wind and thus opening up the opportunity for more public comment on the project,” said Second Barnstable State Representative Will Crocker.

Crocker said Yarmouth officials had reached out to him with a request to allow some of their boards and committees an opportunity to get their concerns into the public record
