Public Comment Period for Army Corps’ Bridge Study is Today

BOURNE – Today is the deadline for those who want to have their say on the future plans for the Bourne and Sagamore Bridges.

The public comment period for the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers’ Cape Cod Canal Highway Bridges Major Rehabilitation Evaluation Study ends today.

It was extended by the Army Corps from its original deadline of November 1, in order to give residents more time to look over the study and respond.

The proposed plans call for the replacement of both bridges with new structures built to include four travel lanes and two additional auxiliary lanes, with bike and pedestrian access.

Public comments can be submitted online at capecodcanalbridgesstudy.com.
