Public Forum On Proposed Pilgrim Monument Project To Be Held This Month

PROVINCETOWN – A public forum will be held at Fisherman Hall in Provincetown on January 27th.  It is part of a new town process called Development of Community Interest.

The topic of discussion will be the funicular project, proposed by the Pilgrim Monument and Provincetown Museum, which  would connect Bradford Street to the PMPM property.

There were a series of community meetings held last November.

Among the updates discussed will be the status of the permitting process, project design and the completion timeline.

The monument was dedicated in 1910 and is the tallest granite structure in the country.  It commemorates the first landing of the Mayflower in 1620.
