FALMOUTH – Eileen McNamara, author of “Eunice: The Kennedy that Changed the World” will talk about Eunice Kennedy Shriver’s legacy during a Falmouth Museums on the Green event.
In the book, the Pulitzer Prize-winning journalist, reveals a woman ahead of her time. With access to never-before-seen private papers, McNamara creates a vivid portrait of an officious, compassionate, indefatigable, devout, cigar-smoking woman who emerged from her brothers’ shadows and founded the Special Olympics on behalf of millions of children, and adults with intellectual disabilities.
Larry Tye, author of Bobby Kennedy: Making of a Liberal Icon, will also be part of the discussion.
