Rain Barrel Sales to Benefit the Association to Preserve Cape Cod

DENNIS – It’s still the middle of winter but that doesn’t mean it’s too early to start thinking about your garden.

The Association to Preserve Cape Cod is taking preorders for rain barrels to get residents in the region ready for the spring.

According to the association, rainwater is the best choice for flowers and vegetables – and it’s free.

The barrels are available by advance purchase only and are $79 each.

Customers can choose from gray, black, blue or terracotta.

Gray or black are the preferred colors for homes in historic districts.

Barrel pickup will be April 25 from 9 a.m. to noon at the Cape Abilities Farm in Dennis.

Proceeds from the purchases support the association’s programs.
