Storm Damage Grants Available for Harwich Homeowners

HARWICH – The Cape Cod & Islands Association of REALTORS is offering up to $20,000 in grant funding to help Harwich homeowners repair storm damage.

The grants were funded through the National Association of Realtors’ REALTORS Relief Foundation. The charitable foundation is dedicated to providing housing-related assistance to victims of disasters.

Homeowners or renters in Harwich who suffered damage to a primary residence during the tornado can apply.

The grants will be awarded in increments up to $2,000 and may be applied towards a monthly mortgage or rental cost if they were displaced due to repairs.

To qualify for a grant, the primary residence must be in the town of Harwich and must have been damaged during the July storm.

The deadline to apply is September 30.

Applications and more information can be found at cciaor.com/harwichgrants.

Only Harwich residents are eligible for the grant as the relief foundation regulations require that a disaster must be declared before funds are made available.
