Record Summer for Vineyard Transit

MARTHA’S VINEYARD – This summer proved to be a busy one for public transit on the Vineyard.

According to the Martha’s Vineyard Gazette, the Vineyard Transit Authority saw a seven percent increase in ridership this summer.

The VTA also set ridership records in both July and August, with nearly 324 thousand people riding public transit in August.

July 4^th weekend proved to be a busy one, with the VTA setting a record with over 13,000 passengers using the service on July 5^th alone.
