PROVINCETOWN – The search for a town manager in Provincetown will continue, after the first choice of selectmen chose not to take the position.

Citing a lack of affordable housing and a concern over compensation, Richard Reinhard will not be Provincetown’s next town manager. Reinhard was originally chosen from three finalists.

Selectmen can either choose to open the search up again or pick one of the two remaining finalists for the job.

Reinhard currently serves as the Deputy Executive Director of the Washington D.C. Business Improvement District.
