DENNIS – A team meeting will be held on April 11th at 6:30 by Relay for Life of Cape Cod at the Dennis Senior Center. Anyone who is interested in learning more about the event is encouraged to attend, as new participants and teams are still needed.
This year’s Disney themed relay is titled “Once upon a Cure”.
Relay for Life involves teams walking the track at D-Y High School for 24 hours to raise money for the American Cancer Society.
At the events beginning, survivors of cancer, health care workers and caregivers are honored. This is followed with the track being lined with candlelit luminaria bags and a lap is walked in silence to remember all of those lost to the disease.
It will take place at Dennis-Yarmouth Regional High School from 10:00am on June 16th to 10:00am the following morning.
