DENNIS – This coming Wednesday at 6:00 pm, Relay for life Cape Cod will hold a team meeting at the Dennis Senior Center.
Anyone wanting to learn about the event, as well as those who have already committed to participating, are encouraged to attend.
A community event, Relay for Life teams walk D-Y High School’s track during a period of 24 hours to raise money for the American Cancer Society.
The event starts with the honoring of cancer survivors, caregivers and health care workers.
Candlelit luminaria bags will be placed around the track at dusk and attendees will walk a silent lap to honor the memory of all who have been lost to the disease.
The relay will take place from Saturday June 16th at 10:00 am until Sunday at 10:00 am. It will have a Disney theme titled “Once upon a Cure”.
