BOURNE – State Representative David T. Vieira (R-Falmouth) has been appointed to a task force reviewing military services, programs, impacts and benefits in the Commonwealth.
“I look forward to working with my colleagues on the task force to ensure the recently authorized Military Bond Bill is used prudently for our security interests and to find creative ways to jointly advance our security and economic development interests,” Vieira said.
The Falmouth Republican joins a team of fellow legislators, gubernatorial appointees, and representatives from public safety agencies and the Massachusetts National Guard on the task force.
The group will examine the impacts and benefits of military installations in the state.
Vieira was appointed by House Minority Leader Bradley H. Jones Jr. (R-North Reading).
