Repairs to Nantucket Jetties Proposed

NANTUCKET – The Army Corps of Engineers is proposing repairs for the Nantucket Harbor east and west jetties, after they were damaged by Hurricane Sandy.

The public comment period on the proposed project has been extend and runs until December 28^th.

The Corps says they are hoping to begin work in the Spring.

Construction would take about 8 to 12 months.
