LOS ANGELES (AP) —Actress Debbie Reynolds, star of the 1952 classic ‘Singin’ in the Rain’ and mother of Carrie Fisher, has died, her son says.
Reynolds was rushed to the hospital Wednesday afternoon after suffering a medical emergency in Los Angeles, one day after her daughter Carrie Fisher died.
Reynolds, who was 84, was hospitalized by a paramedic called to her son’s home.
Reynolds received an honorary Oscar in 2015, but was too ill to attend the ceremony.
