Representative Hunt Promotes Holiday Card Drive for Troops

SANDWICH – Republican Sandwich State Representative Randy Hunt will  again be collecting holiday cards for our military troops serving overseas.

He is working in conjunction with Cape Cod Cares for Our Troops.

Hunt’s office, on Quaker Meeting House Road in East Sandwich, will serve as a collection point and will forward the cards to service members.

Anyone who wishes to participate can drop off unsealed cards addressed to “American Service Member”.

There is a 24-hour drop box for when the office is not open. The last day to drop off cards is Friday November 24th.

In addition, volunteers are needed to help with the packing of care packages, which will take place on that day at the old Sports Authority store in the Cape Wind Plaza in Hyannis.

Hunt says he is privileged to be able to help Cape Cod Cares for Our Troops with their annual holiday drive.

Anyone who knows a service member whom they wish to receive a care package can submit a name at [email protected]

Cape Cod Cares for Our Troops has a Facebook page where more information is available.
