SANDWICH – Republican State Representative Geoff Diehl of Whitman, a candidate for U.S. Senate. will be in Sandwich Wednesday night for a campaign event and fundraiser.
Diehl served as the co-chairman of the Donald Trump’s election campaign in Massachusetts. He’s among at least 4 Republicans looking to unseat Democratic incumbent Senator Elizabeth Warren.
He’ll be joined by author Michele McPhee at tonight’s event beginning at 6 p.m. at the British Beer Company in Sandwich.
During a campaign stop on Cape Cod this summer, Diehl said he was disappointed that Warren’s only focus in Washington is to block the president’s agenda.
Warren is running for a second six-year term and has frequently sparred with Trump both verbally and on social media.
Other Republicans expected to run include Shiva Ayyadurai, a Cambridge technology entrepreneur, former Romney Administration official Beth Lindstrom and businessman John Kingston.
