Researchers Tag First Great White Shark of the Season

TRURO – Atlantic White Shark Conservancy researchers tagged their first great white shark of the season Monday afternoon.

The 11-foot shark was spotted ¼ mile off Truro.

Dr. Greg Skomal’s team is in the fifth and final year of their white shark population study off Cape Cod.

Researchers will be on the water twice per week throughout the summer. They tagged 30 white sharks last year.
