EAST FALMOUTH – A Cape Cod doctor who is an advocate for medical aid in dying will discuss the issue tomorrow in East Falmouth.
Dr. Roger Kligler, who is retired and lives in Falmouth, has been lobbying state lawmakers to allow medical aid in dying for individuals who have terminal conditions.
A proposed law would allow patients who have received a prognosis of six months or less to live to be prescribed medication that would result in a peaceful death.
Kligler himself has incurable metastatic prostate cancer.
The presentation, “The Death I Want: A Talk and Discussion on Medical Aid in Dying,” is at 7 p.m. at the Unitarian Universalist Fellowship of Falmouth’s meetinghouse on Sandwich Road.
