HYANNIS- ‘Robert F. Kennedy: Ripple of Hope,’ an exhibit commemorating the 50th anniversary of Robert F. Kennedy’s 1968 presidential campaign, will host special guest this week.
RFK Junior will join audiences for a talk entitled ‘American Values’ focusing on his latest novel that gives readers an unprecedented insight into the historic family’s life.
“He is bringing kind of an oral history to what he has learned in his family, but he does it by going through some of the journey of the events of his dad’s, and uncle’s [presidential journey]… and his own time growing in… political life, [while also focusing on] when he was running for president,” says John Allen, JFK Hyannis Museum Executive Director.
RFK’S book has been described by critics as
‘the best of memoirs and political history’.
“We’ve always had tremendous connection of his audiences to his talks in both the emotional side, and in the content,” adds Allen.
The event will get underway August 23rd, with a pre-event reception being held from 5:30 to 6:30 p.m. at the JFK Hyannis Museum, and the lecture taking place at 7 p.m. at the Cape Codder Hotel.
