Rhode Island man charged in alleged Hyannis assault

Barnstable Police LogoHYANNIS – Barnstable Police are charging a Rhode Island man after an incident that reportedly began in the Cromwell Court Apartments in Hyannis.

Officer Nathan St. Onge was on routine patrol in the complex on Barnstable Rd. early Sunday morning when he encountered a man with facial injuries.

The alleged victim told officers he has been attacked in the complex and his car had been stolen.

A few moments later, another Barnstable officer spotted and stopped the man’s car in the Cromwell Court complex.

Evan Limogef, 23, of Cranston, Rhode Island was arrested and charged with assault with intent to rob and robbery.

Another person in the car, Kaitlynn O’Donnell of Hyannis, 30, was arrested on an outstanding warrant.

Officer St. Onge said all three people involved in the incident know each other.
