Ribbon Cutting for Heritage Museums & Garden’s New Splash Area

SANDWICH-  Heritage Museums & Gardens in Sandwich is celebrating the grand opening of their new “Splash” area located in the Hidden Hollow, after a ribbon cutting ceremony this month.

Hidden Hollow is set in a two-acre dry kettle hole also known as a glacially formed depression that provides a stimulating, and beautiful outdoor setting for discovery, and learning.

New features in ‘Splash’ include a dramatic waterfall, two streams for hands-in water experimentation, opportunities to build dams, measure water flow, and experiment with how objects sink or float.

These new aspects aim to expand a child’s exposure to STEM ideas as they experiment with a multitude of science concepts, including physics, chemistry, biology, and mathematics.
