Ride To Honor The Cape’s ‘Fallen Heroes’ Tomorrow on Rt 6A

motorcycle silhouetteBOURNE – Big Nick’s Ride for the Fallen is tomorrow, and traffic will be impacted in multiple parts of the Cape, including Route 6A.

The fifth annual memorial motorcycle ride is in honor of US Marine Corps Corporal Nicholas G. Xiarhos and 12 others with ties to Cape Cod who have died while serving during in the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan.

It is organized by Corporal Xiarhos’s father, Yarmouth Deputy Police Chief Steven Xiarhos.

The ride starts at Sheriff’s complex in Bourne. It will travel up 28 north to the Bourne rotary, where it will then turn onto Sandwich Road eastbound.

It will continue on Route 6A through Sandwich, Barnstable, and Yarmouth, before turning onto Union Street and ending at Dennis-Yarmouth Regional High School.

The ride gets underway at 11 and should end around noon.
