BARNSTABLE – The Barnstable Department of Public Works will be conduction sewer work at the intersection of Attucks Lane and Phinney’s Lane this week.
The work is associated with the future Cape Cod Five Headquarters.
Work will consist of directional drilling to install a new sewer pipe under Phinney’s Lane. Equipment is anticipated to be set up in the roadway shoulders. However, motorists can expect adjusted traffic patterns during construction and are advised to seek alternate routes, if possible.
Work is scheduled for March 26 through March 27, weather permitting. Operations will start 7:00 a.m. and run through 4:00 p.m. each day.
The DPW advises motorists to slow down and use extreme caution when traveling through the road construction areas and follow posted safety signs.
