Rory Kennedy’s Documentary ‘Last Days in Vietnam’ To Be Screened at Barnstable High

Rory Kennedy Headshot_Copyright Lyndie BensonHYANNIS – Filmmaker Rory Kennedy’s documentary “Last Days in Vietnam” will be screened inside Barnstable High School’s Knight Hall Wednesday evening.

The film chronicles the final days U.S. diplomats and military operatives spent in Vietnam in April, 1975.

The event is part of a collaboration between the John F. Kennedy Hyannis Museum and the Woods Hole Film Festival, and will feature a question and answer session from the Emmy Award-winning filmmaker.

Kennedy will also attend a reception at the museum starting at 5, preceding the screening beginning at 6:30.

JFK Hyannis Museum Executive Director John Allen said the event is a timely one.

“With this being the 50th anniversary of the start of the Vietnam War, it is quite topical to have people watch these unknown events and activities as the war ended,” Allen said.
