Ruby Rose Fox at Cotuit Center for the Arts

COTUIT -Award-winning vocalist Ruby Rose Fox returns to the Cotuit Center for the Arts on Saturday, April 20, at 7:30 PM.

She’s described as a cultural messenger for turbulent modern times.

Her music is as sonically compelling as it is subversive, packed with lyrics that reflect and challenge our current political state, from #metoo to racism to mass-shootings.

The Boston-based artist sings soul-driven, edgy indie-pop.

Her soulful and mesmerizingly low contralto is an otherworldly take on modern indie music, and her lyrics empower the powerless and take on crucial issues.

“Salt,” her recently released second album, has been described as “an utterly cinematic piece of experimental pop that features dense soundscapes built to accompany Fox’s wall-shattering vocals.”

Fox’s debut album, “Domestic,” was released in 2016 and reached No. 8 on the Billboard Heatseekers Chart.

Tickets are $32, $27 for balcony seating.

There is a $5 discount for members and a $2 discount for seniors and veterans.
