FALMOUTH- A 28-year-old Sagamore man who was arrested last week for wielding a samurai sword and attacking a man with it, made bail yesterday and was released after a dangerousness hearing in Falmouth District Court.
Keith Nelson was arrested early Sunday morning when police found him with the sword after attacking a man in the arm, back and hand.
The stabbing victim was transported by Medflight to Rhode Island Hospital in Providence.
Once Nelson made his $3,500 bail, he was equipped with an electronic tracking device and was given conditions that include being alcohol-drug free, having a curfew beginning at 8 p.m., and staying away from three Bourne addresses.
Nelson is scheduled to appear in court on August 21 for a pre-trial hearing on charges of armed assault to murder, armed assault and battery with a dangerous weapon.
