Sandwich Restaurants to be Featured on Rachael Ray Show

A film crew from the Rachael Ray Show profiled the Uncommon Cafe in Sandwich

SANDWICH – A film crew from a national TV show visited a number of Sandwich restaurants earlier this month, looking to highlight the best sandwiches in Sandwich.

The Rachael Ray Show was on-site profiling local businesses who have been recognized with local food awards.

The crew was toured around town by officers from the Sandwich Police Department because the producers were apparently amused by the term “sandwich police.”

One of the restaurants featured was the Uncommon Café on the corner of Jarves Street and Route 6A. Producers discovered the business after they won the “Best Sandwich in Sandwich” contest in 2015 for the Morning Glory Sandwich, which is a grilled bagel with egg, horseradish cheddar, avocado, and smoked Applewood bacon.

“We’re very fortunate to have them here,” said owner Adam Ogonowski. “I think the whole town is going to benefit from this.”

The Fisherman’s View and Café Chew were also profiled by the film crew for their sandwich offerings.

It’s not yet known when the segment will air, though there was some speculation that it could run for “National Sandwich Day” on November 3.
