Sandwich School Committee offers Interim School Superintendent Permanent Job

SANDWICH – Interim Sandwich Schools Superintendent Pamela Gould has been offered the job on a permanent basis.

The School Committee voted unanimously to offer a permanent contract to Gould, which starts on July 1, 2017.

The previous superintendent, Richard Canfield, left with two years remaining on his contract at the end of the last school year.

Gould took over for Canfield with a one-year contract that began on July 1.

She previously served as a principal at Whitman-Hanson Regional High School and as assistant superintendent for human resources in Plymouth.

The contract length and the amount of money is currently being negotiated.
