Sandwich Superintendent Receives Glowing First Year Review

SANDWICH – The Sandwich School Committee recently released its evaluation of Superintendent Dr. Pamela Gould’s first year on the job, and the review was overwhelmingly positive.

Four goals were set for Dr. Gould for year one including: professional practice, district improvement, development of a strategic plan, and development of an effective evaluation process.

The committee said Dr. Gould met or exceeded each of the four goals.

“The evaluators are impressed with Dr. Gould’s ongoing enthusiasm, patience, diligence, and positive attitude,” said Stephanie Hall, Sandwich School Committee Chair.

While Dr. Gould appreciated the accolades, she does however say there is always room for improvement.

“It’s hard work, but it’s easy to find our goals in areas that we need improve because thankfully there aren’t a ton, and that’s a good thing,” Dr. Gould said.

“We have specific areas that we know we can get better in, and it’ll be hard work to do but once we do it I think we are just going to fly and I’m really excited for that.”
