SANDWICH – Sandwich voters have two contested races and a couple of ballot questions on Thursday’s ballot in the spring election.
In the race for selectmen, incumbent David Sampson is facing a challenge from Claudia Gale and Charles Holden.
Sandwich School Committee member Keri Lynn Ames is being challenged by three others, including Kristin Bader, Steven Furlani and Fiona Ineson.
Sandwich voters will also decide on a ballot question reducing the Community Preservation Act surcharge from three to two percent and create a new two percent waterwater surcharge.
he first ballot question would create special “Municipal Water Infrastructure Investment Fund.”
It would provide a dedicated funding source for municipal wastewater and stormwater infrastructure.
There are uncontested races for town clerk, planning board, board of assessors, board of health, constable, library trustee and Weston Memorial Fund trustee.
Polls are open in Sandwich from 7 a.m. to 8 p.m.
