BARNSTABLE – Artists looking to get inspiration from Nature can take part in excursions to the Halfway House at Sandy Neck Beach in Barnstable.
In a partnership between the town and the Cape Cod Art Association, day and overnight excursions will be offered to artists throughout the year.
The excursions are scheduled for February 5, May 6, September 9 and October 21.
The outings to the Halfway House allow artists with the opportunity to “unplug” and enjoy the solitude and scenic landscapes.
The program is designed for painters, photographers, musicians, writers and other artists.
Prior participants of the program say their time at the Halfway House was a unique opportunity to see a beautiful and remote part of the Cape.
The trips depart in the late morning and return after sunset and the overnight excursions return the followings day around noon time.
Proceeds from the excursions benefit the Halfway House program.
