WEST BARNSTABLE – The arrival of the Sandy Neck Beach Park app has both the staff and public excited.
Sandy Neck Operations Manager Donna Bragg said that the app, which almost anyone can use, took a little time to perfect.
“Everybody has Smartphones. You get notifications when things change. We had a think tank and spent a couple of years investigating different companies that would be able to provide us what we need,” she said.
The Sandy Neck staff is happy about the new way to disseminate information. It is simple to download and easy to navigate.
Bragg points out some of the many reasons people should take advantage of the app when making plans.
“It has the weather on there and the tide charts. The things that will change are conditions on the beach like if we have to close it, or change our hours of operations. It’s really easy to use,” she said.
Instructions on how to download the APP can be found at the Sandy Neck website, www.sandyneckbeachpark.com. It can be downloaded on Google Play, which is free.
