Second Annual Pamet River Float To Be Held August 1

trurosunsetTRURO – The Truro Center for the Arts at Castle Hill will be hosting the second annual Pamet River Float on August 1.

The event begins at 12:30 at the Pamet River entrance across from Castle Hill.

Tickets are $50 and admission is free for Castle Hill Members but participants must register by Wednesday.

The float is about one mile, downstream following the river as it wanders back and forth across the marsh and continues to Pamet Harbor.

Participants will travel down the Little Pamet River tidal flat towards a landing spot where the inlet from Cape Cod Bay enters the harbor at the foot of the north jetty.

Participants may walk along the beach and transportation is provided by Castle Hill, which returns participants to the campus after the float.

Event organizers are asking participants to bring their swimsuits, bottled water, a T-shirt and water shoes, sun block, sunglasses and beach towels.

Organizers are also asking participants to leave their valuables at home and not bring their glass containers as they are prohibited at Pamet River.

The Truro Center for the Arts at Castle Hill provides workshops, lectures, exhibitions and festive community events for residents and visitors.

To register for the float, visit castlehill.org.
