Second Falmouth Crash Victim to be Laid to Rest

FALMOUTH – Friends and family will say their final goodbye today to Owen Higgins, the second Falmouth High School student killed in a crash last week.

A funeral mass is planned for St. Anthony’s Church at 10 a.m. Higgins will be laid to rest after at St. Anthony’s Cemetery.

Thursday’s rain did not deter a long line of mourners from attending Higgins’ wake at the Chapman, Cole, & Gleason funeral home. A number of athletes from across the Cape and the state attended. Higgins was a member of both the Falmouth High School hockey and football teams.

Higgins will be buried alongside his friend and teammate, James Lavin, who was also killed in the crash.
