YARMOUTH – A meeting was held recently to examine the possibility of Yarmouth, Dennis and Harwich installing a joint wastewater facility.

According to Yarmouth Interim Town Administrator Peter Johnson-Staub, the proposition is of interest to all three towns.

“All three communities recognize there are terrific opportunities to reduce costs,” he said. “There are a lot of details to be worked out, but I think we have confirmed enough interest to keep moving forward.”

The meeting did not feature full selectmen boards from all three towns however, and Yarmouth selectmen chair Erik Tolley said it would be necessary to bring the boards together to meet before moving forward.

Such a meeting could happen this month, once the towns have held their elections.
