Shellfish From Nauset Area Approved Again For Human Consumption

ORLEANS – The Massachusetts Division of Marine Fisheries determined last week that shellfish from the Nauset system, which ranges from Orleans through Eastham, no longer contain paralytic shellfish poison.

Shellfish in this area are now approved to be harvested for direct human consumption.

The areas were recently closed off after heavy rains sent excess road runoff in the area.
