CAPE COD-  The Cape Cod Hospital Blood Bank is in urgent need of O negative blood donors, with less than a one-day supply on hand.

O Negative blood givers are considered “universal donors,” since the blood can be transfused to almost any patient in need, regardless of their blood type. This puts O Negative donors in the unique position to help people who are in critical need of blood.

The Nicholas G. Xiarhos Blood Donor Center at Cape Cod Hospital is open Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m.
