South Yarmouth Heroin Dealer Arrested

unnamedSOUTH YARMOUTH- Members of the Yarmouth, Dennis and Brewster Police Department arrested a 25-year-old South Yarmouth woman yesterday afternoon.

Police say that a search warrant obtained from the First District Court of Barnstable, authorized the search of Sadie Souther’s home at 5B Parkwood Road in South Yarmouth, and the search of her 2001 Honda Accord.

Officers searched for heroin and evidence related to the distribution of heroin.

The search warrant also authorized police to search Sadie Souther, and any person present in the location.

The search warrant was obtained based on probable cause developed during the several month long multi-agency investigation into the distribution of heroin by Souther.

Around 4 p.m., officers located Souther in her car in the driveway, with her four year old daughter seated in a car seat in the rear of the vehicle.

The child was secured and placed under control of the Massachusetts Department of Children and Families.

While conducting the search warrant, heroin was located in a kitchen cabinet.

Also found during the search in the kitchen was a digital scale, an eight ounce bottle of Inositol known to be used to cut the drugs, and a box of Glad sandwich baggies.

Souther was arrested and charged with Felony Possession with Intent to Distribute Class A Heroin and was transported to the Yarmouth Police Department Headquarters where she was booked and held on $540 cash bail.

She is scheduled for arraignment today in Barnstable District Court.
