Spring Chocolate Festival to be held in Provincetown

KA_Ptown_provincetown_march_commercial street off season_030916_077PROVINCETOWN – Chocolate lovers will be heading to Provincetown this weekend for the 9th Annual Spring Chocolate Festival.

The festival will be held Saturday and Sunday at the Purple Feather Café & Treatery on Commercial Street.

The theme of this year’s festival is “All Things Spring, A Celebration of Renewal.”

Each year the treatery hosts the festival to introduce new creations created by resident chocolatier Ann Okun and guest Dutch chocolatier Paul John Kearins.

Taster samples will be offered throughout the weekend in exchange for feedback as only the highest rated items make it into the shops assortment.

Attendees can also see the process of chocolate making up-close and ask questions.

The highlight of the festival will be “An Evening of Chocolate & Wine,” which is a special tasting event which pairs the two. It was will be held Saturday from 6:30 to 8 p.m.

The treatery is open year round and features its own chocolates, fudge, gelato, backed goods, lunch items, beer, wine and cocktails, along with a full coffee bar and hot chocolate.
