Stanton Gets Additional Endorsements

BARNSTABLE – Jack Stanton, running for the State House as the representative of Barnstable’s 5th District, is announcing that he has received additional endorsements in the race.

Upon receiving the endorsement of Mass Equality, Stanton said “I was profoundly disappointed to see that my opponent voted against 93% of his colleagues in taking our state forward by voting no against banning conversion therapy. This is why I am thrilled to receive the endorsement of Mass Equality. Groups like this represent the best aspects of what Massachusetts values truly represent- promotion of equal rights and opportunity for all.”

Stanton also got the backing of SEIU-1199. “With healthcare as the 2nd largest sector by employment on Cape Cod, I am extremely proud to have the backing of healthcare workers in my bid to represent the working people of the 5th Barnstable District at the Statehouse.”

Several debates have been scheduled between Stanton and the Republican incumbent Randy Hunt.

October 16th at 7pm at the West Barnstable Community Building, October 18th at WCAI at 10 am, October 18th at the Bristish Beer Company in Sandwich at 7 pm, and  October 25th at Plymouth Town hall at 7 pm.
