CENTERVILLE – A fire that caused extensive damage to a Centerville home this morning is being investigated by the Centerville-Osterville-Marstons Mills Fire Department, Barnstable police and the State Fire Marshall’s office.
COMM Fire crews responded to the Priscilla Street residence just after 8:30 a.m. to find a heavy fire in the back of the one and a half-story home.
The home sustained heavy fire damage to the rear of the home and a porch, according to COMM fire. The first floor and the rear part of the roof suffered moderate smoke, fire and water damage.
There was nobody home at the time of the fire and there were no injuries reported.
Hyannis Fire Crews assisted at the scene and West Barnstable, Cotuit and Barnstable fire departments covered the COMM stations during the fire.
